Ali Hashemian, Ph.D., COHC
President and Founder
Ali Hashemian is the President of American College of Behavioral Medicine and director of the Attention & Achievement Center. He holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and has completed the Hearing Conservation Certification program at Portland State University, as well as the Professional Program in Neuropsychological Assessment from the University of California at Berkeley. He has received several hundred hours of continuing education and training in child and adolescent psychiatric disorders from Harvard Medical School, Department of Psychiatry and Massachusetts General Hospital, an affiliated teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. He has also completed a Mini-Fellowship at Harvard Medical School in Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation at Beth Israel Hospital, a teaching affiliate hospital of Harvard Medical School. He has completed EEG Neurofeedback training as well as Advanced EEG Neurofeedback training for ADD/ADHD.
Ali Hashemian is a member of the Harvard Medical School Post-Graduate Association, Department of Continuing Education, Society for Neuron Regulation, Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback, The Interdisciplinary Council on Developmental and Learning Disorders, The American Occupational Therapy Association, American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine and The American Society of Bariatric Physicians. He specializes in alternative and complimentary treatments for symptoms of ADD/ADHD, Learning Disorders, and Cognitive Skills Deficits in compliance with California's alternative Health Care Practitioners' Law (SB 577), and as such he does not practice psychology and is not a physician or surgeon.

Carl Hirsch, O.D., FCOVD
Carl Hirsch, O.D., FCOVD is an Optometrist with 25 years of experience in Vision Therapy. He is a graduate of the New England College of Optometry, and attended the Residency Program in Visual Therapy at the State University of New York, School of Optometry.
He has extensive experience in treatment for the symptoms of learning-related Vision Problems, including ADD/ADHD, Dyslexia, Reading, and Tracking Problems, as well as Visual Rehabilitation for Special Populations, including Patients with Traumatic Brain Injuries, Stroke, Whiplash, Developmental Delays, Cerebral Palsy, Multiple Sclerosis, among others.
Dr. Hirsch has a general practice with a specialty in vision development/ vision therapy and is a Fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development.
Dr. Hirsch performs visual examinations and vision therapy for some of the center's clients.

Meyer Proler, M.D.
Meyer Proler, M.D. is a graduate of Baylor University, College of Medicine, and a certified by the American EEG Society Board of Qualifications, as well as American Board of Electroencephalography with special competence in Quantified EEG.
He has been a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Neurology at Baylor University for over 14 years. He has had numerous scientific papers on neurology published. Dr. Proler is a member of American Medical Association, American Academy of Clinical Neurophysiology and American Academy of Neurology among others.
Dr. Proler reviews EEG files for the center's clients.

Gregory Alter, Ph.D.
Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PSY 7422)
Greg Alter, Ph.D. is a licensed Psychologist and Marriage and Family Therapist and directs the Berkeley Biofeedback and Psychology Center. He brings over thirty years of experience in the use of biofeedback to enhance attention, performance and well-being.
In addition, Dr. Alter offers educational assessments and psychotherapy. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress, and the National Register of Healthcare Providers in Psychology. Dr. Alter is a pioneer in the biofeedback field, integrating diverse approaches from both biofeedback and the psychology of health and well-being. Dr. Alter is a professor of Psychology at Argosy University.
Dr. Alter provides clinical supervision at the center.

Anne Jackson, Ph.D.
Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PSY 17785)
Anne Jackson, Ph.D. (PSY 17785) is a licensed clinical psychologist and certified professional life coach with over 20 years of experience in clinical evaluation, psychological testing, and psychotherapy with adults, families, adolescents and children. She completed her doctorate at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and a post-doctoral fellowship at Detroit Psychiatric Institute, where she was responsible for evaluations and psychotherapy with children and adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Dr. Jackson has taught at the University of Michigan, has been a participant in continuing education courses in advanced psychopathology and advanced psychotherapeutic techniques, and has been a participant and presenter in continuing clinical case conferences and weekly supervision.
As an interdisciplinary team leader and a staff psychologist at several psychiatric hospitals and outpatient clinics for children and adults, Dr. Jackson was responsible for the coordination of treatment interventions for individual and group therapy, and offered parental guidance and coaching for adults and parents of child outpatients. Dr. Jackson has been a research team member at the University of Michigan Institute for Social Research, Children’s Psychiatric Hospital, the University of Michigan Center for the Child and Family, and the San Francisco Psychoanalytic Institute.

Jonathan Walker, M.D.
Jonathan Walker, M.D. is a nationally recognized researcher in the areas of learning difficulties, and is board certified in neurology and electroencephalography. He is also President of the American Board of QEEG Technology.
Dr. Walker interprets test results for the Attention & Achievement Center, offering protocols for QEEG-guided neurofeedback training to remediate the growing number of medical conditions for which this treatment is dramatically effective.

Description of Practice
Since no one single modality can be 100% successful every time, we have combined Neurotherapy with Hypnotherapy and nutritional counseling to maximize positive results. We offer Continuous Performance evaluations using TOVA, Connors and IVA, including medication dosage evaluations for medical professionals in the area. Since we do not bill insurance companies your confidentiality is assured and you or your child will not have ADD or other disability labels following you.
We utilize the latest and most advanced software and equipment in the United States, including those offered by EEG Spectrum, as well as Multi-Trace-ProComp+.
