Is your smart child struggling at school?
Up to 18.2% of school-age children have learning, mood, or behavioral problems, leading to learning disabilities and attention deficit issues. Educators and parents have treated ADD and ADHD attention shortcomings and learning difficulties through specialized school programs, tutoring, or long-term medication. The result: Very little measurable improvement in the underlying learning disabilities at the heart of the problem.
Scientific Evaluation of the Root Cause of Learning and Attention Disorders is the Key
Studies tell us that learning, reading and attention problems are rarely due to poor instruction, student motivation, or academic weakness. but instead are the result of correctable poor cognitive skills. At the Attention & Achievement Center, our first step in helping your child improve his or her academic performance is to conduct a thorough, scientifically validated cognitive skills evaluation, to understand where your child's problems lie.
Drug Free Cognitive Skills Training is the Solution
Cognitive skills are high level functions carried out by the human brain, such as comprehension, auditory processing, attention & information processing, and problem solving. These processes are required for effective learning, and are different from the acquired skills we learn through our academic experience. If a child has a problem in one of these areas, his ability to learn will be impaired, and his academic performance will suffer.
